Here are answers to some common questions about booking and experiencing a safari with Infinite Safaris Africa. For complete details, please refer to our comprehensive Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and other legal documents.
To book a safari, you typically begin by contacting us with your interests and desired safari type. We will then provide you with an official Quotation. Your safari is confirmed upon your acceptance of this Quotation and our receipt of the required non-refundable deposit. All bookings are subject to availability.
A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your safari. The final balance is generally due prior to the commencement of your safari, as specified in your Quotation. We quote prices in USD, and while we accept other major currencies for direct payments to us, the national currency for general purchases in South Africa is the Rand (ZAR). All bank charges and transfer costs are your responsibility.
Our standard safari packages usually include daily rates for hunting, the services of a licensed Professional Hunter, trackers, skinners, and camp staff, as well as accommodation, all meals, soft drinks, local beers and wines, daily laundry service, and basic field preparation of trophies. Transportation within the hunting area and meet-and-greet services at the Kimberley Airport are also included.
Excluded items typically comprise international and domestic airfare, airport taxes, visa fees, gratuities, additional hotel accommodation outside the safari period, hard liquor, trophy fees for animals hunted or wounded, dipping, packing, and shipping of trophies, taxidermy services, observer daily rates, personal expenses, and travel/medical insurance.
Our detailed cancellation policy is outlined in our Terms and Conditions. Generally, cancellations must be submitted in writing. Depending on how close the cancellation is to the safari commencement date, a portion or the entirety of the safari cost may be forfeited. We strongly advise obtaining comprehensive travel cancellation insurance immediately upon booking to protect against unforeseen circumstances.
Yes, you may bring your own firearm. However, you must comply with all international and domestic laws regarding firearm ownership, transportation, and temporary import into the African country. We will assist with pre-arranging your temporary firearm import permit by collecting necessary details (make, model, serial number, caliber, and exact ammunition quantity) in advance. An additional fee applies for firearm handling at the Airport. It is your sole responsibility to ensure all documentation is valid.
While there are no mandatory immunizations for South Africa, we recommend consulting your doctor well in advance to determine any necessary precautions or medications. Comprehensive travel and medical insurance, covering hunting activities, emergency medical treatment, and evacuation, is mandatory for all clients. You assume all risks associated with your health during the safari.
We provide basic field preparation of your trophies (skinning, initial cleaning, salting) as part of your safari package. However, all subsequent costs for dipping, packing, taxidermy, CITES export permits, and international shipment of your trophies to your home country are excluded from the safari price and are your sole responsibility. We facilitate arrangements with reputable third-party service providers on your behalf.
We are deeply committed to conservation through sustainable and ethical hunting practices. All hunts adhere strictly to Fair Chase principles and comply with all national and international wildlife laws and regulations (including CITES). We contribute significantly to anti-poaching efforts, habitat preservation, and sustainable wildlife management programs, ensuring that hunting benefits both wildlife and local communities.
You can expect comfortable and appropriate accommodation with nutritious meals throughout your safari, as outlined in your itinerary. We generally provide mobile signal and Wi-Fi access in and around the hunting chalet, and daily laundry service is included. Special dietary requirements can often be accommodated if communicated in advance.
