Your Guide To A Seamless Safari Experience
Visa & Passport Regulations
Most nationals do not require a visa for entry into South Africa for tourism purposes, however please ensure that you check with a South African consulate or embassy in your home town. South Africa has the following requirements: 1. Passports or travel documents must be valid for no less than 30 days after the expiry of your intended visit. 2. Passports must have at least 2 unused pages for entry / departure endorsements. 3. A valid yellow fever card is required when traveling into South Africa from certain countries such as Kenya. Please check with a South African consulate or embassy.
Travel Regulations for Under 18's
New requirements, introduced by the South African Department of Home Affairs from 1 June 2015, specify that all minors (children under 18 years) are required to produce, in addition to their passport, an Unabridged Birth Certificate, which shows the details of both parents for all international travel to and from South Africa. If a minor is traveling with 1 parent or without parents, additional documents are required. Please notify Heritage Safaris if this is the case. You may visit www.home-affairs.gov.za for the latest regulations / information and to check if you are a visa exempt national. It is always recommended to contact the Embassy of South Africa in your country prior to travel.
Guide to Importing Firearms
Most nationals do not require a visa for entry into South Africa for tourism purposes. Firearm import permits are a very standard procedure in South Africa if one knows what they are doing. We have been organising permits for our clients for the past 10 years. We will assist and guide our clients all the way. Firearms hire We have a wide range of firearms for hire. Although importing your firearm to South Africa is a simple and easy process some prefer to not travel with them especially if traveling elsewhere before or after their hunt. Our range of rifles expands from middle calibers from 270 up to big calibers up to 500. We also have a range of shotguns available in Caliber 12, side by side & over under.
Taxidermy, Export & Trophies
We work with a very reliable and reputable taxidermist in South Africa, which has been in business for over 20 years. Whether it’s complete taxidermy work, dip and pack or just organisation for export of your trophies we can highly recommend this company. However, every client is completely free to use whomever they desire. This is just a recommendation. Please ask us for details if interested.
Health and Safety Guidelines
No immunisation or medication is required prior to travel to South Africa. We are based in a Malaria free zone. However, in advance of any international travel we suggest that you consult with your doctor to determine if there are any precautions you should take in advance of departure. We are always equipped with medical products to tend to injuries or illness. In case of emergency very modern and high standard hospitals are located within a short drive from us. If the situation is severe we can also organise a helicopter transfer promptly.
Gratuity Guidelines for Your Stay
At the conclusion of the safari gratuities for staff can be left with the PH in charge. Please ask for our Gratuities Advisory Sheet for guidance. Material gifts such as knives, optics, watches, outerwear, equipment of various kinds, etc are not preferred over monetary gratuities. The recipient would be more appreciative of the client, if the client would bestow cash as a gratuity. Staff that have been employed in the industry for any reasonable period of time already poses items of this nature.

Dangerous Game Safaris
Infinite Safaris has built its reputation upon its pre-eminence in the quality of dangerous game we have to offer. We carefully manage our Reserve to produce the best trophy heads. Our PHs know the habits and traits of dangerous game and pursue them with a sincere passion ensuring that every adventure will be an individual, unforgettable experience full of excitement. Buffalo hunting is definitely our specialty. This hunt is probably one of the most exhilarating and often a favourite amongst our hunters. These hunts are always different so you never know what to expect. We have a large population of Buffalo on our reserve with very large trophy sizes to make any hunter proud. A 7-day safari is recommended for a Buffalo hunt. We are committed to the conservation of the white Rhinoceros. We provide habitat for excess overly mature, non-breeding bulls & cows as well as young, healthy breeding groups in our reserve. Through our breeding efforts and regulated and controlled hunts we are proud to say we have a role in the long-gevity and conservation of these magical animals. A rhino hunt is one of the most touching and humbling hunts one can do. These hunts take place strictly through spot and- stalk techniques at very close quarters. Rhino hunting regulations are very strict in South Africa. An application for the permit must be submitted to the Nature Conservation department no later than 6 months prior to the hunt taking place and is meticulously reviewed for approval. We offer 5-day packages for a Rhino hunt and it takes approximately 4 months to receive a hunting permit. The most majestic animal in all of Africa! There is no doubt that an Elephant hunt is the holy grail of all hunts for any avid hunter. To be faced against an elephant is like no other experience and there are not many experiences that can compare to this feeling. We offer all inclusive 12-Day Elephant hunts in a few carefully chosen areas in Zimbabwe, which are managed by some of the best known outfitters for Elephant hunting. Elephants are very abundant in these areas. Depending on the area the size of these tuskers range from 35 lbs (average) to 65 lbs + (no limit on size). It is popular to combine an Elephant & Lion hunt in these areas as there is also an extremely thriving population of mature lions. This combination truly makes for an unbeatable and definitely unforgettable hunting experience.
Plains Game Safaris
South Africa offers the largest variety of plains game species than anywhere else. We have an extremely vast variety of different plains game species on our reserve, which include all the best known on the list of any avid hunter. These species have developed over the years with the best genetic specimens. For this reason, there is no need for the hunter to waste time on seemingly endless and exasperating road trips in a fruitless attempt to collect animals on their species list. All the species are found on our reserve. We offer very appealing plains game packages, which have been created to include an interesting and diverse list of species. We also customise plains game packages.
Bow Hunting Safaris
Our reserve offers tremendous opportunities for bow hunting, which would exceed any passionate bow hunter’s expectations. The thrill of the hunt is heightened when going after some of Africa’s toughest game with a bow. Our methods of hunting are walk & stalk and blinds. Our experienced Ph’s and trackers have guided many bow hunts and are experts at getting as close as possible to the targets to ensure that out hunters get the most out of their experience. The preferred months for bow hunting are May to September as the vegetation is dry and a lot less dense. A permit is not required to import your bow into South Africa. All species of game up to Buffalo are permitted to be hunted with a bow in South Africa. “Thick skinned” species such as Rhino, Elephant and Hippo are not permitted for bow hunting.
Wing Shooting Safaris
South Africa is a Hidden Gem for Wing Shooting! Wing Shooting with Infinite Safaris has garnered high praise due to the meticulous organisation and detail that go into preparations of our shoots. The main target is African Rock Pigeons, which are found in phenomenal numbers. These birds are considered to be one of the most challenging birds in the world of wing shooting due to their uncanny speed and unpredictable flight patterns. In advance of our client’s arrival, our professional staff is hard at work pinpointing flight patterns and blind placement to ensure a high quality experience. Attracted by the broad fields of sunflower, maize and wheat, the fast moving Rock Pigeon and Dove provide abundant wing shooting opportunities. Because of the recurring abundance of birds there is no bag limit and shooters can expect to make between 300-500 shots per day. On a typical wing shooting safari the day begins with a delicious freshly prepared breakfast then off to the fields. There is a morning shoot followed by a delightful in-field prepared meal for a midday break. After lunch there is a 2nd shoot and finally back to the lodge for sundowners and bonfire snacks followed by a mouth-watering dinner and lots of laughs and stories about the day. The wing shooting season in South Africa is best between the months of March to July. Please enquire about our wing shooting packages.

The Heart and History Behind Our Lodge
Henu Cronje was born into a farming family in the Free State, central South Africa, where he was raised with an entrepreneurial spirit and developed a passion for hunting from an early age. His love for Africa, the outdoors, and exploring diverse landscapes has been a lifelong journey.
As a businessman and entrepreneur, Henu founded and grew several successful ventures across South Africa and the continent. Despite these achievements, his passion for nature and the outdoors consistently drew him back to safaris and hunting. Guiding, teaching, and sharing outdoor adventures with others became a deeply fulfilling part of his life.
Together with his wife and three children, Henu overlanded through Southern Africa, visiting numerous countries, national parks, fishing destinations, and hunting grounds. Their adventures spanned South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.
Over 15 years ago, Henu founded Infinite Safaris Africa, initially focusing on corporate group hunts, combining his love for Africa with a professional, client-centered approach. With the acquisition of Heritage Safaris South Africa and the farm Loskop in the Kimberley region, the Cronje family embraced a new chapter, integrating their operations into a trusted and reputable safari and hunting destination.
